ASBMF #4 April Showers

So I only had a vague idea of rain when I started thinking about this. I was thinking of overlaying grey with holo sparkles... and then saw that it had been done. So it needed a twist! AND to be less boring~

 I think I should have done my sparkly topcoat. Maybe it would have worked out better.

And then umbrellas!

Unfortunately I didn't think about the colour combo on my thumb. It looks like a tree ==;

Soooo that's that. It'll probably come off soon, I wasn't too impressed. I do like my umbrellas though, they're cute.

ASBMF #3 Glitter Sammy

I'm gonna admit right now that I had no idea what this meant. Also, the jellies I have are glittery.... soooo....

Anyway, I ended up using Essence Choose Me! with Julep Oscar over it, and then another layer of Essence Choose Me! over top. That's a sandwich, right?

Here's what it looked like.

Anyways, this was boring so I added a bunch more.

So there it is. It's not a glitter sammy anymore but the intention was there!

EDIT: Then I added another layer of Essence. This looks pretty amazing! Now the orange isn't overpowering everything and I can see the depth everyone was talking about. There's orange glitter and blue glitter and gold bits and it looks pretty fabulous. Hopefully it'll last the Turkey half of the trip, if not the Italy half.

I like it. Now it's a sandwich.

Nail tools

I get a lot of questions from non-nail people about how I get so many details so I'm just gonna post the tools I use.

This is definitely a good investment. I got it at Superstore for about $2:50.

 I used this for tracing out my Thumbunny's ears.

These were really cheap on the ELF cosmetics site

 These I used once so far which later became the base for my volcano nails.

This is a paintbrush I got from my boy-toy! I used it to do a lot!

Bunny ears, leaf details, anything. You need a paintbrush.

I haven't had a chance to use this!!! I have a friend in the States I plan on bothering to help me get some Red Angel Plates!

 Either way though I got this and the next item at BornPrettyStore. It's a little hard to navigate but it is pretty excellent with free shipping and all.

Dotting tools! Used where ever you see dots!

I've already linked everything I've used these tools in this blog, you can go back and look. Bunny eyes and thumbunny nose, ladybugs (every bit of them!) was with these. Pretty fabulous. They were like $4 something on BornPretty.

Nobody who actually reads this cares but at least it's here now. >_>

The last two worked out how I wanted  them too. Unfortunately you can't see the holographic glitter so well, but I promise you it looked amazing and gave it the ember flying fire effect I wanted from this =)

OH! I had Indian food for the first time today. It was delicious! Lol super mild butter chicken ;) with rice and delicious nan bread! Holy crap that bread was amazing. Also met my old boss' daughter. Hah.

So that was just a bunch of nails. Today I did two easter egg hunts and had a huuuge bacon/scrambled eggs/strawberry/pancakes breakfast and a ham/scalloped potatoes/corn/carrots and peas/yam pudding thing dinner. And cake! With chocolate sauce =D Today was delicious. Branden isn't feeling so great though, so hopefully he gets better. I've got tomorrow off to clean my room and finish that paper that nobody is going to help me with (except Melanie). And hopefully teach Robyn some maths.

Hummm... I think there was something else too, but I can't remember. 'Til next time!

China Glaze Hunger Games, etc

I can't even resist. LOOK AT THEM. Unfortunately Riveting isn't available so I'm going to wait and maybe get that, Harvest Moon, Dress Me Up and Electrify. $3.99ea on BeautyJoint which is not really as bad as CG everywhere else.

Anyway. I need more practice writing. I need some theme. My 150 word vignettes died with my hormones (though those resurface when surrounded by intelligent, attractive people *COUGHChloroBLAST2012COUGH*

Maybe I'll just find one of those 31 day nail challenge things and write stories that center around the colours instead. Could be fun. Would be simple too. SO for my followers - all eight of you - you'll probably get a lot of crap. =P Try not to hate me.
