Swatch: Rainbow Honey Lemon Sorbet (S)

Okay, started with Zoya Tove and RH Lemon Sorbet just twinkled at me knowingly. It was part of the January mystery bag along with some other lemon scented goodies. It looks great too! It's a silvery, well, lemon-y glitter.

It is also lemon scented!

I'm surprised how much I love the scented nail polishes! I did some nail art over this too.

Swatch: Zoya Tove

Whoooo Zoya! This is Tove from the Satin finish collection that was offered free with an order to apologize for the mini set everyone else was disappointed with. From the photos, I expected Tove to be blue-hued, and I guess it is, but it is much more just a grey, and it is gorgeous. Sorry for my redness!

Formula's fantastic btw!

Swatch: Rainbow Honey Tessellate over Masquerade (T)

Hi guys, so this is kind of mini post because I just posted swatches of Masquerade yesterday, but I got Boyfriend to pick out a glitter topper for my nails yesterday so I thought I'd post what he chose. Tessellate! Good boy, he's got good tastes!! Hahaha

So Tessellate has been a lemming of mine since I borrowed it from Sharra in December, so when Rainbow Honey put in on sale I jumped for it... and missed. It sold out super quickly. But then they restocked it in February, so I took my second chance and bought it!! I can't even explain it, I just love this polish. It has scattered holo sparkles and big holo triangles!! It adds to the party without overpowering and matches literally any color. Perfect!

So here is masquerade again, but with Tesselate added! I think it looks really nice.

Haha boyfriend played b ball while I shot pics!

Not a nice picture, but look at the color range!!

Hope you guys have an awesome rest of your day!!!

Swatch: INLP Masquerade (Tiff's version)

Hi guys!! So I finally got around to swatching one of Sharra's polishes that she'd been bugging me to try since November! ILNP Masquerade!! Well she was right, it's a stunner!!

Masquerade is one of the newer ultrachromes from ILNP and it shifts from a rich raspberry color to forest green with oranges and yellows and greens in between. It's maybe my favorite ultrachrome from the company! I love the raspberry color and it shifts even in crappy lighting! It's not picky at all!

Soooo I always alwayyys put black under my duochromes because I've convinced they look brighter that way. So this is 1 coat of OPI Black Onyx with 2 coats of Masquerade on top and top coat!

Such a stunner eh??!! I Love it!

Floral Nail Art based of Bootlegger Printed Floral Dress

So I got this dress....

You can buy this dress here by the way!

And damn but don't those colours match. Rainbow Honey Mint Flavor and this dress yo.

So I dug in my stash and found the rest of the colours and my paint brushes.

Julep January, Golden Rose 224 (Red-orange), Julep Hayden, Essence Wanna Be Your Sunshine, and Julep Leah.

So the flowers are a combination of dry marbling, dry brushing and dotting. Those little paint brushes are really good for less than precise dabbling.

So last time I did a dress inspired mani it was fantastically improved by mattifying (See here, though this one did okay shiny). I wanted to match the texture of the dress so I thought NYC Matte Me Crazy might work best since last time I used it I got a more waxy finish.

It turned out so well. It's been a while and I'm really proud of myself <3

And by the way, Kat Von D Countess with the Julep Coral Luxe Lip gloss overlaying it is an exact match.

Swatch: Kleancolor Chunky Holo Black (T)

Hey guys, I found this post I completely forgot about from back in October!! Damn my nails are long here!!! Wahhh I miss them!

So you may have noticed that the majority of my pictures are taken outside. This is because my camera is temperamental and only takes nice photos in natural light. Also because I like photos to be true to colour. That way what you see here is really what it looks like in real life. But as the weather is getting worse and worse I've been thinking about setting up a light box. I still haven't quite mastered it and I had to pull a ton of the orange lighting out on the computer. So I feel like these aren't my best shots, but here's my first light box experiment photos. *EDIT* I gave up on the light box after this because it fell apart, boyfriend is an engineering student so he has been making me one, but its been like a month since we've had time!

Anyways this is Kleancolor Chunky Holo Black Over OPI Black Onyx. This is a green to red glitter duochrome in a black jelly base. Its actually Sharra's, not mine btw.

These last two are in natural light

While I really like the look of this polish and I think its fairly unique, I'm not in love with the black base. I really wish it was a sheer base because then you could do so much more with it!!! Sigh. Oh well. It's still pretty cool and very shifty!
