The PokeNail Challenge: FIGHTING

I WILL CATCH UP I SWEAR. This one's a quickie because it didn't turn out as nice as I'd planned...

Starting with KB Shimmer Proud Peacock and striping with Julep Otte.

This is another polish I got in my Harlow&Co grab bag, made possible by winning the giveaway from A Painted Nail =3

I'm gonna be honest that it's not my favourite, but I know lots of people would be super impressed. (If you are one of those people and might like this polish, we can maybe work something out).

It took three coats to opacity, and as I was doing my nails with it, the only thought in my head was, "how can there be THAT much glitter in this brush???" :D I would call this a blue crelly btw, if anyone is wondering.

NCC Halloween #1

Alright! Halloween is one of my favourite things! I love dressing up, I love candy, I love attention, I love orange... we're just good to go, okay?

We're gonna start off tame though, because it is only the 6th... and obviously I set myself up well, and started with KB Shimmer Orange Pop <3 Now last year, when I still loved Julep and was getting boxes (I have skipped the last bajillion, nothing just looks that good...), they included a little extra in their box - some water decals from Alex Cole. Just a few, to try out.

Here's the sheet:

Orange is obviously for pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns, so I snipped out the two that were on there. I thought I was being all smart by leaving a little tab, but don't. I did one and then cut the other one down properly. Tweezers make it really easy to separate from the backing without wrecking it so don't worry.

The instructions say:
"Cut closely around decal. Float image facing up in small bown of water for 5-20 seconds. Carefully remove decal from backing with tweezers and place on nail. Apply top coat of choice."

Instead of a bowl I used my handy-dandy SFU Biology shot glass ;D It's the perfect size.

You can see the bottom got a little eaten away... totally my fault, but it was the first one I applied EVER so forgive me pls.

Second one worked better, and I had totally dropped it in the water upside down and had to rescue it ~_~;
It worked out too though, look at his grin!

And then my topcoat. I chose WarPaint Mattify.

Swatch: KB Shimmer Orange Pop

Hello everyone! I won a giveaway a few weeks ago from an amazing girl (Bridget) at an amazing blog (A Painted Nail). She's the kind of person who's so easy to talk to (tweet at ;D) and then you're scrolling absently through your blogroll on bloglovin and stop and have to scroll back up to the header to find out who does those amazing freaking nails and you realize you talk to her on Twitter like ALL THE TIME. *COUGH*

Anyway, yeah, I won $25 to Harlow&Co, which I of course spent on a grab bag + shipping, and added on something else with my own money that I wouldn't have been able to get otherwise... ANYWAY.

IT'S OCTOBER. October is ORANGE. So is KB Shimmer Orange Pop! It looks like it has candy in it.
(Shoutouts to Nails for the Sake of Sanity too, because the polish she sent me looks just like this one! Y'all know what I like yo ;D)

So here's one coat, just to show you the opacity. The rest of the photos are four coats, though three was opaque.

Anyway, KABLAM:

For some reason those photos are very red, and the next ones are more colour accurate... But it does pop a lot, and the squishyyyy~

PS: I had this one during the day today and my photos don't really capture just how NEON it is. It is like seriously glowy orange. :DDDD BEST POLISH.
