The final grand total is $1760 for me, and just over $24,000 for SFU in its entirety, including the money raised at the event through food sales and other things.

I also had the most people show up to watch and we slowly pushed the performers off their space xD

So one thing about this video is the background music is really annoying. The girl singing, though she had a beautiful voice, started singing the saddest freaking song after I said my reason for doing this is "the lols". Ruined moment. Anyway, enjoy <3!

Today is the day!

I'm Balding for Dollars!

Hi everyone! This definitely isn't related to nail polish but it is fabulous and I wanted to give you guys a chance to support me (read: solicit you for money) <3

It's a great cause and I am tired of my hair! Also, haircuts are expensive.

I'm not super interested in giving you guys a sob story but if you want one, my mom died of leukemia when I was 10 and she only lived until 43 which is young. Imagine being a child and having to put up with this kind of shit. It would suck. The least they deserve is my hair and a bit more funding, right <3

Personal Update!

I don't know how many of you care and I'm not trying to garner sympathy or anything but I wanted to give you guys some warning in case I don't pop in for over a week. If you follow my facebook, you've seen this already but this time I have pictures of adorable old dogs.

This is basically how I spent my reading break from school:

So on Sunday my stomach started hurting, which wasn't totally out of the ordinary since I had had a ton of Japanese food the day before (I'll post on that!). It just felt like bad gas to be honest, so I rolled around and tried to get everything moving. Didn't sleep much on Monday night, but all day a puppy cuddled with me.

On Tuesday I got up at 6:30AM to go over the border to send mail. I sent all the mail! By then I was feeling nauseous enough that we went straight to the doctor on our way back who said that it likely wasn't my ovaries (hurrah!) and that the desk would make me a CT scan appointment to check my appendix and call me later. He said if it got worse to go into the ER. So I went home and napped while waiting for a phone call that didn't come. When I got home that night I tried to sleep, gave up at 1AM and had my daddy drive me to the hospital where he stayed with me all night.

I didn't sleep much either. They gave me an ultrasound in the morning which was equivocal and then said since I was feeling better they'd usually just send me home. I laughed and said, oh no, I have a high pain threshold PLUS you've got me on an IV with antibiotics and painkillers. I'm not going anywhere! So they sent me to the other hospital 20 minutes away because hurrah! The CT scanner was broken here xP

The latest in hospital fashion

They fed me CT scan radioactive fluid before I left and when I got there I sat around and had a nice chat with a man named Yoni (sp?) <3 The CT scan machine is suuuper cool btw. Anyway, moving on. I checked in at the ER where I met a nice lady named, possibly, Gida (sp?) and Branden showed up. I sat around for a while more and the doctor said heya, appendicitis! and called for a appendectomy. Within an hour I was in. It was now about 2PM Wednesday, and I hadn't eaten since 7PM Tuesday but they counted CT fluid as consumption... sad.

Woke up groggy and hurty, nothing is interesting here except I ended up in a bed next to one of Branden's old family friends/neighbours so I had some company. I was drugged and cranky and all my electronics ran out of batteries. In the morning they brought me shitty hospital breakfast (holy crap is that stuff bad!) and then I was released at 10AM-ish with a prescription for some T2s.

As for after-appendectomy meals...

Yes, that is chocolate milk.

Homemade sushi!

I inhaled EVERYTHING.

I'm not on le T2s today! It still hurts to get up and down but I can waddle around alright and laying down is nice. I also have a nap midday lol. I DID paint my nails finally, so that's a post coming up.

Expect a couple regular posts coming up, and then no promises <3 I'm milking this recovery for all it's worth ;)

Let It Snow #11: Valentine's Day

Hey lovelies! I hope you guys like this post, there's some story. First up:

Happy Valentine's Day <3

This time of year used to be really hard for me. When I was 10, my mom passed away. She fought leukemia for 8 years and on February 12th, 2001, she let go.That year, a rose bloomed edged in frost. In the middle of February. Every year my dad gives me two roses, one for me and one for her.

So with that sob story, I started with Sally Hansen Lustre Shine Lava and with my trusty dotting tool and some KleanColor Gold Bright. My inspiration came from this pin on Pinterest and though mine's not as realistic, I really like it.

My mom's favourite flower was a yellow rose <3

I wish I could get better photos but what do you think? I really like it <3

Drunken Partay(s)

Alright everyone, I promise THIS IS RELEVANT TO THE BLOG. Because guess what? When my friends do drunken partays, they do drunken poutine partays! (I may be slightly intoxicated writing this post - sorry y'all.)

Anyway, I trekked over to my friend's place on the day of Friday and we made lots of great stuff.

McCain fries and delicious cheese curds!

 Our guest of honour and host with 8 cups of gravy. Eight. Cups. (250ml*8 = 1 L of gravy)

The. Best.

 I honestly had three bowls like this. The gravy was fat-free instant stuff that SAID "poutine" on the packet, it was awesome. I forget where he got the cheese curds but I WILL FIND OUT because I personally intend to make these parties a thing. I recommend not using McCain superfries though, and just going to McDick's or A&W and just ordering huge batches. It still wouldn't cost very much (would it?) or you could ask everyone to bring $2 - $3 to cover cost of fries. There was also bacon. It was amazing. I also discovered Galliano in Coca Cola. Pretty freaking awesome.

The second party I went to was fantastic. I'm just gonna post the highlights because you all totes wanna know 'bout mah gangsta lyfe.

There was no puking! Hurrah!

It was fun! I actually met people and stuff, and had poutine! My poutine buddy (the handsome devil making gravy up there) is leaving me though, so I'm taking applications.
