Swatch: Rainbow Honey Mare of the Moon

Today's post is dedicated to EradicateH8.blogspot.ca with this message:
Bullying is not funny. It is not cool. It is not right. And more importantly, it is not okay.
Most of us are, thankfully, residents of countries that support tolerance and many of our families have settled in these places simply for that reason. Generations later, it is our responsibility to perpetuate that message of tolerance across our new social platforms, including the internet.
As members of the nail polish blogging community, we all share a love of beauty, color, and lacquer. Other than that, we are remarkably different: from our race to our religion to our hair color...even to our polish application techniques. To marginalize anyone because of those differences is completely unacceptable and today I take a stand against that. I refuse to allow other people's view of "normal" dictate how I behave, believe, and blog.
In solidarity with a multitude of bloggers linked below, my purple manicure represents my proud commitment to the No H8 movement. Today, November 8, I dedicate my post to ending bullying of any kind and to encouraging diversity and imperfection among our colorful community.

This combination is one I had been sitting on for a long time! I knew I wanted to start with Golden Rose 314, and add Mare of the Moon from Rainbow Honey's Equestria Collection over it. I didn't know how amazing this would look at the time, which is why I put it off so long but man, I must be in the mood for blurple.

Mare of the Moon added another layer of shimmer to Golden Rose 314's already deep microglitter. There are tiny blue-green flecks in Mare of the Moon that make it look great regardless of the fact that I wasn't able to get any of the moon-shaped glitter out of the bottle! The different size holographic hexes don't hurt either!

The finish on Mare of the Moon actually dried a little flat (semi-matte), so I added a topcoat to bring out the colours a bit more!

The inner glow on this polish (that shimmer you see) reminds me so much of Nyx Thunder! I'm happy I finally got around to doing this combination <3 Even though I couldn't get a decent picture, be aware that this is a true duo-chrome, going from maroon to indigo with some blue-green shimmer (that you see) on the way!

AND THEN THE SUN CAME OUT!! (And I found a purple leaf... EXCITING THINGS!)

I have never seen a purple leaf before...
And this is the other extreme of the shift. See, it's not blue!
You can buy Rainbow Honey on their website, and be sure to like them on Facebook =D
