Swatch: Julep Leslie

Julep Leslie is from the October box and is a slate gray, almost black shimmer. It's actually quite gorgeous on the nail, even if you're not super impressed with it in the bottle. It reminds me of wet pavement.

I did two coats.

I have a feeling this is going to make a great base for all kinds of nail art.

If you guys want to get your hands on your own Julep box you can click here to take the style quiz. I believe the code PENNY still works at checkout to get a discount on your first box (a $19.98 discount... so you pay $0.01) =D
Fine print: No obligation, skip any month, cancel anytime, free shipping, I only get rewarded if you buy a box full price =) Don't worry about it and enjoy it!

  1. I have a Pure Ice (Electric!) that looks just like this! Is Julep a really good brand? I've never bought any.

    1. I really like Julep personally. I've only had a couple of them that I wasn't super impressed with but all the rest are opaque in two coats, dry shiny and within 2 minutes. I know some people have had some problems with the company but I haven't.

I think the really nice thing is that first box for a penny offer. You can sign up, receive your first box for one cent and if you hate them all you can cancel your subscription. If you don't and want to continue, you can always skip boxes every month if you don't like what's in it and that's perfect for me because I hate commitment and I'm poor. The mystery boxes are a good way to increase your collection on a budget too =)

Sorry for the salesman shpiel! If you want to try it I'd love if you used my referral link. If you click the Julep Label at the bottom of the post you can check out all the ones I've swatched so far and make your own judgment =) Let me know!

  2. That's a pretty gorgeous charcoal! I'm tempted but they seem so expensive for such a small bottle.

    1. Keep your eye out for a mystery box if you're looking for a good sampler. It's $60 - $200 of product for $20. Also that code PENNY is nice for an obligation-free way to try some.
