I am REALLY surprised at how much I love this challenge item. Like seriously, I could not believe. I've felt like I really dropped the ball on the last couple challenge items during the summer, y'know, lost focus and inspiration etc. But this one. Oh man, the colours are just so AUTUMN. LOVING IT.
Alright, so I started with my amazing $2 Tivoli NP055. For the apples, I chose my super vampy Sally Hansen Salon Cruel Heart, and Sally Hansen Ivy League. I've actually got step by steps for you guys! (SORT OF =D)
First, I brushed on my colours. Cruel Heart only needed one brush over to be completely opaque, but Ivy League took two brushes over which was not as bad as I thought it would be. I did it similarly to the ever popular cloud manicure (you've seen it)
After that, I took Joe Mocha and my ever reliable paintbrush and just stroked in a little dash of brown. Then I picked up Nyx Las Vegas and dabbed in a leaf!
Like I said, I can't believe just how much I LOVE these. I totally love the colours and the design came out quite adorable if I do say so myself.
How do you like them apples? ;)

The colors remind me of some old paintings we used to discuss back in school. You know, those baroque ones. I like how your apples turned out!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Your comments are always so cool =D
DeleteI love the gold background. Gives it much more of a fall look! Very good work girl! ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks girl! That's EXACTLY what I thought when I saw it sitting all by itself in my nail polish box too xD
