NCC Halloween #2: Creepy crawlies!

ILNP Birefringence + Billie Silver = GORGEOUSNESS. I really don't have much else to say about this. I'll let the photos do the talking ;D

What do you think? All it took was a striper brush actually! The colour combination is fantastic too, and even my off hand looked alright despite the obvious lack of dexterity.

Cuba 2013 Nails #1

Ola! I am back from Cuba! Did you miss me? I had the greatest time and I think for a bit here my nails are going to be homage to the trip <3 I'm gonna start with the absolute best moment of the whole thing, summarized in one photo.

Yeah, we totally played with a dolphin. It was the best freaking thing ever. My face is so stupidly scrunchy with all the happy and I don't even care xP Her name was Nina! She was the CUTEST THING EVAR and only 10 years old =3

Start with the ocean! Essence I Love Bad Boys covered with Julep Melissa.

The ocean was totally this colour. Since I'm running out of topcoat, I used Essie Pure Pearlfection as one and it gave the ocean a nice calm sparkle.

I left this for a while and came back in the evening to pay my homage to Nina.

I used Billie Silver and covered it with China Glaze Make a Spectacle, which also turned out to be perfect <3

I wnat to make sure you guys get a look at my little dolphin, so excuse the quality in these next two...

Swatch: Billie - so old the name faded off - chrome silver

This is a one coater, with two to smooth it out and cover any hidden bald spots that I just know are there. Dried shiny (like really shiny!), flat, and in about 45 seconds. Some bubbles, no unbearable streaking.

I don't have much to say really... I have some tentative plans for this as a base though <3

It appears there's a bald spot I couldn't see behind the blinding light of this colour on my forefinger in this picture... That's going to bother me. x_x

As for studying, it's barely going but after Thursday I get a break to go find some cool polish and then study some more for the 14th. Bah humbug!

I'm gonna have to replace this soon btw. Is Essie the best silver chrome out there? Anybody have any other recommendations?

FiA#5 Football

.... I don't like football. I don't watch football... I'm in BC, near Vancouver. We're hockey people. And by "we" I mean "they" because I don't find sports that interesting. So instead of doing a team logo...

I have to say, it was really hard to take pictures of this because it was so shiny! GLARE =O

So, two coats of China Glaze Harvest Moon, with a stripe of Billie Silver near the tip and the football stitches from the cuticle =)

See my weird angle attempts at getting the glare off and showing you the design haha...

Is this "Football" enough?

FiA#4 Cloudy Days

The ladies of the challenge all think alike! I have a feeling you guys are gonna see a lot of cloud type manis (oh god I used that word, what have I become?) and mine is no exception!

I started with Joe Cement, which y'all shoulda seen coming and I stroked on my Billie Silver.

TOO shiny for camera aahhhh!

Once again, my other hand is the good one.

Of course this isn't the end. Clouds have silver lining, so we need the top part! I chose Golden Rose 187 (that I got in Turkey!) for the job =) I can't wait to swatch this on its own <3

And there you have it =D I actually didn't realize how much I enjoy designs after all that swatching and layering I was doing for a bit there (I have a backlog of posts always).

TLDoS#4 Flip Flops

As I mentioned, I hate flip-flops (probably because I dislike feet) but I caved and bought some because they're just easier at the beach. This is also why I put off doing this one for so long. Because I don't like them, I have no idea what to do. But then I found these, and they're alright looking as well as having a back!

Of course I knew immediately what was in my collection that looked like this, so I started by painting a base.

I'm really sorry about the mess. I forgot my remover the day I did these (at school lol).

On my right hand (with walk on air), I used RA119 and RA120 to stamp on as similar a design as I could find with Julep Claire and Essence You Belong to Me! Unfortunately, Claire faded out in the middle so I switched to Essence Let's Get Lost. It still didn't really show up lol, but oh well.

This one looks weird, but you can see where it's sorta like the shoe, right? 

On my left, I found RA105 and stamped it on using Essence Black is Back and attempted to use Wet&Wild 454D, which didn't turn out as bad as I thought it might.

The blue turned out the best on this one and the pink didn't show up much. Dang.

After that I freehanded in the silver thong part of a flipflop using my Billie, whose name I lost.

Nail wheels!!

So if you follow my Twitter, you'll know that I received my nail wheels from eBay yesterday!

Allllll my pretttiiiieesssssss~

So clearly I organized by colour, and I definitely do not have a collection like some people I follow (Here's lookin' at you Trace) but it made me really happy to swatch it all anyway =D

Red/Pink

So apparently my lighting was bad because those first three look way more similar in the photograph than they really are.

Orange!

 I love orange!

Yellow!

 Soooo many yelloooows. Tivoli looks really brownish, but it's pretty burnished gold. Del Sol changes colour to pink in the sun and I will have Julep Daisy to add to this wheel sometime soon! =D

Greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen

 KleanColor Bikini Green and WarPaint Bad Apple look really similar, but the finish on the WarPaint is not shiny and it glows under blacklight. However, I could definitely live without KCBG if anybody wants to give it a good home. Maybe if you'd follow me I'd be motivated to do a giveaway. I'm certainly making enough pageviews a day.

Bluuue

 I love blue. I think it's my favourite colour now thanks to Branden's pretty eyes. Anyway, I can't believe how Blue Me Away makes Let's Get Lost look sad. Can't waaaait to wear it >_<

Purple

 I also love purple. With both green and purple, I didn't have to look at the name on the back of the wheel to know what the colour/brand was. Hah.

Brown/Grey

Chiiinnaaaa Glaaaaaaaze (Dress Me Up). And Harvest Moon. Can't wait!

Black

Revlon has tiny blue microglitter you can't see, and usually Revlon requires a topcoat and really shines after getting it. It was also interesting to see that Joe Twilight and KC Chunky HB are different. I just thought Joe was a crap knockoff, but it's a flakey with more green, if not a strong reflective attribute.

So, does anything look interesting? Any close-up requests?
