Swatch: Rainbow Honey Fallen Snow

Swatchy swatch! This is Rainbow Honey's recent January limited edition (one of two) and it is a very faint blue-ish white that goes on creamy in two coats. The formula was great though I personally am never satisfied with how the edges on my paint job look when I am wearing whites but I think that's just me because my photos look fine.

This is going to make a great base for some sky nail art. Did you guys see their recent collection? I have all of that coming m way too! Right now they're offering a 10% off code too (RH10) so check it out! Let me know if you pick some nice colours up :D

Grey swirlies (S)

We picked our winners guys! Check your emails!

Sorry about the lack of posts lately! Semester is ending and everything has to come to a close. I'm also starting something new in May and leaving on Thursday to drive to Calgary to visit my Grandmother for a week too. It's going to be non stop for a little while again, ugh. I know I should have lots of need to unwind so hopefully the nail posts will pick up and I can be inspired again.

I have this really simple little thing I did with a dotting tool oh so long ago. Zoya Tove is the base colour with RH Lemon Sorbet over the two middle fingers. Then with Tove again I just kind of swirled lines onto my ring finger. Subtle!

It was a little too plain from that point so just to give it a dash of mystery I added Julep Melissa (one of my fav topcoats).

Some more coming up! Hope you guys are getting some good weather by now!

Got my hair blue!! (S)

So I matched my nails!

I started with RH 488nm and then sponged on Cecile 77, Julep Marisa and RH Tessie.

I topped everything with RH Diamond dust which gave it a really pretty sparkle...

And then I basked in the attention for a week :D

What do you think? ;D

I hope you all had a great Easter long weekend and got to sleep in today too!

Swatch: Rainbow Honey 488nm (S)

It's SPRING TIME which means I can break out the bright colours again and I won't look so attention-seeking (though I totally am, who are we kidding). This is Rainbow Honey 488nm, which may be my favourite wavelength after all. It came in a mystery bag long, long ago, possibly from a galaxy far, far away.

Two coats opacity!

What's your favourite bright colour?

Swatch: Rainbow Honey Lemon Sorbet (S)

Okay, started with Zoya Tove and RH Lemon Sorbet just twinkled at me knowingly. It was part of the January mystery bag along with some other lemon scented goodies. It looks great too! It's a silvery, well, lemon-y glitter.

It is also lemon scented!

I'm surprised how much I love the scented nail polishes! I did some nail art over this too.

Swatch: Zoya Tove

Whoooo Zoya! This is Tove from the Satin finish collection that was offered free with an order to apologize for the mini set everyone else was disappointed with. From the photos, I expected Tove to be blue-hued, and I guess it is, but it is much more just a grey, and it is gorgeous. Sorry for my redness!

Formula's fantastic btw!

Swatch: Rainbow Honey Mint Flavor (S)

I have found the perfect mint green.

It's perfect. It's definitely mint green and not Tiffany blue... I think. Anyway, if you're only going to get one mint green, get Rainbow Honey Mint Flavor. And if you do only get one mint green please tell me how you stop yourself from buying any that you see.

Now this is two coats, but you can almost (and probably can) get away with just one. ONE. That's also pretty awesome because this is what I covered the staining with. Looks good, doesn't it?

Nail art coming up next! GOOD nail art this time too, I promise!

Swatch: ILNP Supernova (S)

Okay, back to Julep Casey and how I wish I could stamp. What I really wanted on my nails was a dark floral hosiery pattern and what I got instead was scribbling with sharpie.

The thought was there, I just couldn't execute without more planning in the first place. Next time maybe taping...

Anyway, what do we say to bad nail art?

GLITTER.

ILNP Supernova was actually super cute over this. You can still kind of make out the attempt at cross hatching but it appears as though the glitter filled in the holes in between.

I really like the effect, and the shift was glorious - much like ILNP Sirene. Make sure you check out Tiffany's swatch too, her camera is amazing.

OKAY. That's the end of this post. The next photos are view at your own risk. Messy cuticles for sure, but if you were curious, here is the Julep Casey Staining. It's horrible...

Are you sure?

You can turn back now.

You've been forewarned.

Aaahhh D:

Okay, haha I'm done. You should see what I covered it with! Come back soon ;D

Swatch: Rainbow Honey Lanterns

Got a bit out of order there! This is Rainbow Honey Lanterns over Zoya Jolene. I'm not sure if this was the best combination but it did make a pretty sparkle. I especially love the glowing orange jelly glitter pieces (you can make two out on my ring finger in the second photo).

It is a little bit of a crowded glitter. I think next time I'd do a gradient or just an accent or two with it. What's your favourite way to add glitter to your nails?

Swatch: Julep Casey

For once, I took my Julep subscription box! It contained the Navy Smoke and Olive eye gliders which I am suuuch a sucker for, and the bonus was Julep Casey. I had to cover up the Zoya Jolene staining so this was the perfect colour. It took 2 coats.

Fair warning here! ALSO A STAINER. But, absolutely gorgeous.

I love colour coordinating!
