Swatch: Rainbow Honey Lanterns

Got a bit out of order there! This is Rainbow Honey Lanterns over Zoya Jolene. I'm not sure if this was the best combination but it did make a pretty sparkle. I especially love the glowing orange jelly glitter pieces (you can make two out on my ring finger in the second photo).

It is a little bit of a crowded glitter. I think next time I'd do a gradient or just an accent or two with it. What's your favourite way to add glitter to your nails?

Nail Art: Rainbow Honey Tessie and Diamond Dust

Hi guys! So I recently got minis of both Rainbow Honey Tessie and Diamond Dust with my order in January and I finally got to try them both out in a simple nail art! I know I'm a little behind on collecting Rainbow Honeys, this was actually first order... until now I've only been bumming off Sharra and stealing/borrowing hers. Ok! Ok! I'm a LOT behind!

So I used two coats of Tessie as the base and then took a striper to make the white pattern.  Tessie is a purple periwinkle creme with a touch of blue microshimmer. I didn't do a step by step sorry, but I drew the middle line down the nail first, then I made the angled horizontal lines next. Lastly I traced around my whole nail to frame it. Then I painted 1 thick coat of Diamond dust over the whole thing to add some sparkle and shine. Diamond dust is a scattered holo top coat with blue and pink microshimmer.

Swatch: Julep Casey

For once, I took my Julep subscription box! It contained the Navy Smoke and Olive eye gliders which I am suuuch a sucker for, and the bonus was Julep Casey. I had to cover up the Zoya Jolene staining so this was the perfect colour. It took 2 coats.

Fair warning here! ALSO A STAINER. But, absolutely gorgeous.

I love colour coordinating!

Swatch: Zoya Jolene

If you're following me on Instagram, you saw that I got some nail mail a while back!

Opened it up, and dove right into Zoya goodness. I'm still infected with Valentine heart fever! Jolene is the cutest pink ever and went on so smooth in two coats!

I don't own a lot of pinks, and I'm not in the mood often but Jolene was exactly what I was in the mood for <3 Fair warning though, it's a STAINER.

Zoya Jolene matches Kat Von D Sexer perfectly :D

Swatch: Julep Gwyneth

WELL. I found this one in my drafts from.... a long time ago. I think it was supposed to be my review of the Oxygen Nail Treatment base coat, none of which I remember now.

I used one coat and as you can see it leaves a milky colour over the natural nail. The only reason I used base coat this time was because I wanted to swatch Julep Gwyneth, a transparent pink not-jelly that may build to show the colour tinge. The first coat was clear.

The second coat however did pink the nails a little bit.

The effect was very shiny and healthy looking. Not quite opaque enough for a jelly sandwich but for somebody who wants simple nails, or someone sneaking polish under their workplace radar, this is perfect.

What do you guys think? Would you use something like this?

Swatch: Rainbow Honey One Minute More

Part of the Summer Mixtape collection! This colour is really cute on its own, with a pink shimmer throughout. It was a little thick though, and is probably going to be much better for the addition of thinner (and patience).

I got one good photo because I was rushing to do nail art over it but this is colour accurate and 2 coats.

Not the worst yellow I've had and it looks like sunshine on the nails! My roses were definitely yellow!

Swatch: Rainbow Honey Rosey Bot (S)

This post is a bit out of date! I wrote it when we first got our mystery bags. Apologies!

You will all be thrilled to know that among the nerd girls at The Blahg, the Rainbow Honey mystery bag was a big hit. Today I have a couple pics of Rosey Bot, which was a little thick but opaque in two coats.

The silvery sheen in this is really pretty and in the photo it doesn't show the redness of my hands quite as much as I remember it in real life. It's a bit of a strange colour. I think it would look fantastic on darker skin, or even me in the summertime.

What do you guys think of the picture quality? I'm using my new One Plus One smartphone to take them lately :D
